We are a global leader in the development, manufacturing and service of innovative fiber optics products for the data and telecommunications industry. We are one of the leading fiber optics manufacturers that provides research and design components and covers the whole spectrum of Passive and Active components and fiber optic broadband network devices. The company's products are sold worldwide through a direct sales force and its OEM partners.
We employ over 200 employees, 40 of which are specifically assigned to handle and manager specific global customers and partners of ours. We strive to improve the quality of our products daily, maintaining a leading position in the marketplace. Quality Control and Cell Production
Our products are designed, produced, and used in the high-speed transmission and broadband networking of product line applications where the highest quality is critical on demand. During the production process, many crucial details such as production procedures, accuracy of testing, proper packaging, and product handling regulation are essential for final build and delivery.
In addition to improving productivity, product yield rate, and competitive pricing, the company's Quality Control has always been our top priority. At FLT we hold all of our employees accountable and responsible for the quality of the product or service they provide. Our Quality Team has developed and implemented clear, understandable quality standards. Quality training, reviews, and audits are conducted daily; this approach allows the employees to practice product defect prevention while operating at 100% capacity. Our Supply Management Team focuses on suppliers selection, OEM partners, product fulfillment, supply stability, and the highest quality of material available. To optimize production efficiency, our company combines component design resources with the production work force to fully integrate the process, testing, and final quality examination. Our company has fully implemented the Cell Production system to effectively produce and integrate the product with the Cell system set up. The Cell system has provided many benefits and flexibility for a high-volume of product mixture model. The system is to optimize production efficiency and ultimately, reduce product cost. The Cell system implementation has demonstrated a tremendous success in meeting all of OEM customers' requirements.
Organization Structure
Our company has a horizontal management structure. The company has five major departments: Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Production Operation, Human Resource, and Finance. Within the Quality Assurance Department, there are IQC, IPQC, and QA groups; in total there are 20 employees in the Quality Assurance Department. The Research and Development Department has sub-groups: Passive Components, Active Components, Sub-Systems, and Product Compliance; there are 40 employees in the R&D Department. With the combined strength of engineering, capacity, efficiency, and speed, FLT is fully prepared to provide the most robust OEM services to meet customer requirements.
Our company has been certified to the international standard ISO9001, in which true quality systems are measured. In addition, our company has achieved TL 9000 certification. The TL 9000 is a quality requirements program for the telecommunications industry built upon a stringent ISO9001:1994 framework. It encompasses the design, development, production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications hardware, software, and services. In the first quarter of 2003, our company has implemented the ERP Systems for productivity management. During the third quarter of 2003, our company had implemented the six-sigma quality program to optimize the existing quality programs and to meet customers' quality demands and objectives.
