Quality Control and Cell Production
FLT's products are designed, produced, and used in the high-speed transmission and broadband networking of product line applications where the highest quality is critical on demand. During the production process, many crucial details such as production procedures, accuracy of testing, proper packaging, and product handling regulation are essential for final build and delivery.
In addition to improving productivity, product yield rate, and competitive pricing, FLT's Quality Control has always been a top priority. All employees are responsible for the quality of the product or service they provide. FLT's Quality Team has developed and implemented clear, understandable quality standards. Quality training, reviews, and audits are conducted daily; this approach allows the employees to practice product defect prevention with at a 100% capicity, rather than defect detection. Supply Management focuses on suppliers selection, OEM partners, product fulfillment, supply stability, and high quality material.
FLT is a high-volume component production provider. To optimize production efficiency, FLT combines component design resources with the production work force to fully integrate the process, testing, and final quality examination. FLT has fully implemented the Cell Production system to effectively produce and integrate the product with the Cell system set up. The Cell system has provided many benefits and flexibility for a high-volume of product mixture model. The system is to optimize production efficiency and ultimately, reduce product cost. The Cell system implementation has demonstrated a tremendous success in meeting all of OEM customers requirements.
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
FLT has a horizontal management structure. The company has five major departments: Research and Development, Quality Assurance, Production Operation, Human Resource, and Finance. Within the Quality Assurance Department, there are IQC, IPQC, and QA groups; in total there are 20 employees in the Quality Assurance Department. The Research and Development Department has sub-groups: Passive Components, Active Components, Sub-Systems, and Product Compliance; there are 40 employees in the R&D Department. With the combined strength of engineering, capacity, efficiency, and speed, FLT is fully prepared to provide the most robust OEM services to meet customer requirements.
To ensure FLT's Management Excellency practices required to compete in a global economy, FLT has been certified to the international standard ISO-9001, in which true quality systems are measured. In addition, FLT has achieved TL 9000 certification. The TL 9000 is a quality requirements program for the telecommunications industry built upon a stringent ISO 9001:1994 framework. It encompasses the design, development, production, delivery, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications hardware, software, and services. In the first quarter of 2003, FLT has implemented the ERP Systems for productivity management. During the third quarter of 2003, FLT is planning to implement the six-sigma quality program to optimize the existing quality programs and to meet customers¡¯ quality demands and objectives.
